30/4/09 What wonderful spring weather we are having this year.. Could this be the norm for the rest of Summer.. Even so SCARBOROUGH was a bit on the misty moody side, but what a fantastic weekend... Awsome!!. The Spa was buzzing all weekend, but saturday night kind of topped it all off with the whole venue bouncing up and down to a brilliant brilliant show by Bad Manners. If you had any concerns about how much the dance floor was moving, don't worry it was sprung.. How well sprung we don't know... hee hee. A big sorry to those who had to wait a while to get in on Saturday night, but we were full to capacity, and their was very little we could do until people started leaving..... Anyway thanks to everyone who turned up and made Scarborough one of the best Easter rallies for many a year.....
You may have noticed we have introduced some new venues to our listings, the first one being the Pre-Season at MARTON MERE which was a huge success and a wonderful way to start the year off, with over a 1000 people in attendence.. Probably the biggest Pre-Season we have ever done. Its definately on next year, over the same weekend... We have just got to sort a couple of things out with the site, and then we will flag all the details up on the website...
Another New / Old venue which is back on the calendar is the 'Bull ithe Thorne'.. We have moved 'THE RUN TO THE SHIRES' back to where it all started when it was 'RUN TO THE HILLS'.. Many of you may remember this venue, it is ace!!.. The surroundings are stunning, the ride to it is awsome, and yet again its somewhere new... August 7th-9th .. Same format as the Shires, new location and lots of hills, hence 'RUN TO THE HILLS'.. fantastic!
STRICTLY SCOOTERS is back on in the UK this year.. The place to visit for this nomadic event will be Stonyford Lodge on the Notts/Deryshire border. Usual format.. One day and night in a great location, although early birds are as usual more than welcome to join us for a drink or two on the Friday night.... Please be very clear on this... It is Strictly Scooters.. You will not be welcome unless you are riding one.. That is the only rule...
